How should i keep progressing?
I'm level 450~ and the only thing i'm doing atm is the underworld, i'm at floor 27 already, i'm getting at least 3 kodamas (with the only necessary one being the sidekick) and i'm going invisible the whole time. After i get around 60 lapiz, i'm leaving the underworld to go to the npc to get the +level upgrade.

Is there anything i should be doing instead of going through the underworld? I haven't touched the DLC yet because i wanted to complete it on DoTN, is there anything there worth getting? And should i grind to max level? I'm not using a 'proper' build, i'm relying mostly on magic and i only have 160.

The Underworld is the endgame, enemies in there are stronger than DoTN enemies. If you want to do DoTN DLC's without being overpowered, I would say now's the time! Everything will feel easy once you're used to the Underworld. If you want to keep getting stronger, then definitely keep pushing deeper into the Underworld, it's better in every way to DoTN.

But in the end, as long as you have fun, keep killing whatever demons you want to, the only thing left is to conquer the rest of the Underworld and then the Depths!

On another note, if you haven't already (I will assume you haven't!), farming one or two sets of Ethereal Graces is much easier in the Underworld. I personally like Ame no Uzume + Susano, for very aggressive gameplay, and once you reach the Depths, you can get your hands on Oyatatsumi for a tankier build.

The wiki has a table at the bottom of this page to know what Graces can drop on a floor. https://nioh2.wiki.fextralife.com/The+Underworld

If i max the Loot +Value Modifier in the npc from the underworld, will this increase the loot i get outside the underworld too?

Correct, BUT the Underworld has an inherent boost to it, so it's still the best place to max out your gear at +120

I see. Thanks. I'll try to get some levels there before doing the campaign, since i want to complete all levels in DoTN, this way it won't be a total waste of time if i need to do fusions or something
Bro not having played the DLC yet is insane, they're so high quality and you get the best guardian spirits in the game from them too

Why not kill everything, specially the strongest enemies? 🤔

Also a good point, cursed enemies literally the best source of lapis and ethereals

Think the bonuses from the underworld apples to all stages/missions/side missions. So going back and doing some may bot be a bad Idea. Although the underworld is really mean't to be done last imo. When pretty much have done everything else in the game. Think still get alot of locks on those NG+ missions. To get more points to spend on your skill trees. The underworld is meant to be like the ultimate challenge mode. So alot of those be worthless to get if cleared all floors in the underworld. Since you want to be as strong as you can when doing the underworld. Probably going to have a hard time when reaching the lvl 30+ floors. Though skipping to the boss may make it easier. I never have done that personally.

you could make one of the best builds in the game right now 6 susano ,5 onmyo warrior, 3 tsukuyomi then go back and do a whole game run through of dream of the nioh since you haven't done the DLC yet

If your goal is the depths (30), then keep going (skip directly to the boss like you do), and reach the depths 1-11. Some people say that you may kill everything instead of skipping the level, but each time you change a floor, you'll have a chance for the special treasure level, and you kill bosses more often (and if you don't die, you have a "multiplier" for the rewards).

Once in the depths 6-11, you'll hit a wall and need a true build. But you'll have all the tools to farm (scroll of the damned, lucky drop in the depths), and you have access to the new grace "oyamatsumi" with 6 pieces (which works with acala 7p, sarutahiko 7p, tsukuyomi 7p, onmyo warrior 5p + 3p tsukuyomi for example); these combinations of graces can clear the depths no problem.

For example, when you have a scroll of the damned with double bosses with a lucky drop with a good grace, you can just farm the first boss and reset (use the onmyo spell to go back to a shrine). This spell is also good for finding the shortest route for the kodamas. If you're like me (you like "optimization"), while doing the underworld try to explore to find the shortest path to get all 4 kodamas. For some levels, I need to backtrack.

But the DLCs are good, and you may want to play "normally", get all the guardians, and so on. On the other hand, the game is old, and playing 1000 hours may prevent you from playing other good new games.
