Did the same thing, only I used fist.
He's like a 2h heavy knight that runs around like a ninja for whatever reason...
Pretty much the same.
Learn when to dodge him, when to block, etc. I also backwaved / parried him a lot - but mostly backwaved as it's mostly immune to mistakes as you block either way.
Wish more enemies were like that ...
I just waited till DotS when he came back up again (I'm playing all missions all difficulties) and tubonuked him, I should go back to DotSam and do the same.
clay bells
there's nothing that tells you this but you can summon 3 cats at a time and just grapple spam while they do a ton of ki damage
I was in a sub mission with Magara Naotaka as the boss, there's two cat's right before his arena so I was like, "everyone says 3 cats is super broken so lets see".
Yup... easiest boss fight of the game so far I think especially with great soul cores and a "extra damage on winded enemies" augment. Poor guy was sent beyond infinity in record speed.
just charging bull->Ki Flux->cb->kf etc. (doesn't need a perfect ki pulse, just flux asap)
the ki cost is low enough that you can instantly get all your ki back and more with flux and if a humanoid tries to block then most of their ki is gone.
not sure what kind of buffs he gets in the higher difficulties but he manages to get out of the loop and attack you with super armor quite often
I just know that i punched him until he suddenly died.
