Can I have more than one character at a time?

I mean, you can reset all your stats at any time and re-edit your character completely from the hut. Why do you need a second character? Unless if just purely to start from scratch?

Only issue is that they ain't named for a weird ass reason so try to remember them which level or playtime they have. kek

New Save File Route

Yes. You will have to go to Load Game instead of Continue if you wish to switch characters after this. Your Clan information (leaderboard, rewards, passive bonuses) are shared among your characters however.

Complete Make Over and Respec

You can change your appearance outside of a mission. You can also respec / redistribute Amrita (for attribute points or otherwise), title points, skill points, and choose a different clan. The cost increases depending on how many times you've purchased the item to re-distribute. You may also find some of these items via first time completion of missions.

Duplicate Save and Respec

And as an extreme resort, if you build up one character, you can copy and paste the save file with a new name (e.g. if the folder is called SAVEDATA00, then the new name is SAVEDATA01). This may allow you to respec and try a different stat allocation and title points without having to farm smithing texts or increasing the cost of the respec items. I haven't tried this with someone else's save file, but I don't think I would risk someone else's file unless I was prepared to lock myself out.

Shared Clan

The shared clan bonuses may not matter as much if you choose a neutral Clan bonus such as +Amrita and matter more if you were a ranged focus character squeezing out ranged bonuses or a caster trying to grab an elemental damage bonus or onmyo magic power bonus, etc. The stat performance is small either way, but nice to have synergy with other characters or builds.
