Nioh 3? Sure. Would prefer Ninja Gaiden 4 first.
You must believe everything you hear and can't form your own opinion huh? "True Team Ninja fans do not want Rise of the Ronin", do what? Who is a "true Team ninja fan" to you? Someone who agrees with you lol?
I also really dislike people who hope for failures JUST because they don't like something, because all they are admitting is that they are narcissistic/selfish people who want the world to revolve ONLY around their opinions/likes. If I don't like something I just don't waste my time with it, but the new trend is to read some bad reviews, then act like those are the objective truths of the game, when 99% of game critique is subjective lol.
You realize how much it would hurt TN if their next big game fails miserably? You really think in the current state of the world with devs getting laid off every day, even when games are profitable, that Nioh 3 or NG 4 will just poof into existence after a huge game failure? No, you keep wishing for TN to fail, you might as well say goodbye to Nioh, NG, and the only big company that pushes quality combat/gameplay OVER visuals and movie gamesin the AAA market.
I could careless what internet personalities say about a game I'm interested in, as whenever the game releases for PC I will buy the game and play it for myself to form my own opinion, as there is no better critic of the games I like then ME. The same people said Strangers Of Paradise was trash, yet its one of my favorite Action RPGs to come out in recent years. Also with the hate Wo Long got, after the DLCs it became antoher favorite of mine in the genre, so I have stopped usings others to form my opinion about something, as I need to play and feel the game myself to make up my mind on it.
This hivemind mentality of accepting another persons opinion as fact to prove something is "objectively bad", is the most brain dead mentality I have ever seen in modern times and it makes me ashamed to even label myself a "gamer". Its like individuality of thought has gone out the window, all gaming criticisim is about now is, metacritic said....., asmon said...., "insert youtuber/streamer" said......,....etc.
Modern game criticism is dead thanks to brain dead takes like this.
WOW! Amazing! There is truly none like you no not one ;)
kinda like ubisthesda made it.
Yeah if I had a dollar everytime an infuencer, reviewer, streamer,...etc did not like a game that I ended up loving I would be a rich man.
I won't know until I play it on PC in a Year or so, as others opinions really mean nothing to my own personal views.
The visuals are stuck at 1080p 60 fps in performance mode on PS5. Of course it's going to look worse than both Nioh's on PC. Both Nioh's had to be downgraded to 720p to run at 60 fps on PS4. I think the other reason people are saying it looks bad is there is a lot of running around in broad daylight.Team Ninja is bad with daylight scenarios. Most daylight levels are mid or look washed out.
If I wanted to play mass appeal, casualized, dumbed down, boring, empty, open-world garbage, I have many choices from other garbage developers. Team Ninja was a unique developer that focused on combat depth and filled a significant niche, which they are betraying now. Why would I not want their betrayal to fail? The quality of gaming improves when garbage products fail and good products succeed. I celebrate when garbage developers go out of business, when employees in the gaming industry get fired (useless, talentless, passionless, dead weight), when garbage games are financial disasters. Any sane and genuine gamer would do the same. The vast majority of gamers today are losers with no life and no identity, therefore they seek their solace in mass consumerism and a cult of positivity and hype, pathetic.
It wouldn't hurt them at all, Yasuda would probably get demoted/fired, which is a good thing.
This is a good thing, useless, talentless, passionless devs deserve to get fired. Why doesn't FromSoftware have mass layoffs? Because they produce quality games and the vast majority of their employees and coders are talented, usefull and have passion for their craft.
Yes. Team Ninja works on 3 projects at the same time, they have expanded their studio, one game being a financial failure doesn't mean instant bankruptcy.
Team Ninja used to have amazing graphics and amazing gameplay during the Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II era. People who claim Team Ninja don't value graphics only expose themselves for being newcomers and posers. Team Ninja has already failed with Stranger of Paradise, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Rise of the Ronin. 3 games that are dumbed down and casualized garbage versions of Nioh games. They need to be financially punished so they produce quality games again.
Good for you, you are the casuals Team Ninja is currently chasing with their dumbed down casualized garbage games. I'll keep playing Nioh: Complete Edition and Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition until Team Ninja makes a proper quality game again. I will also play their newer games just to confirm that they are garbage, but Team Ninja won't be getting my money for these new games ;)
The only hivemind mentality is that of people like you who are a cult of positivity, mass consumerism and fake hype, just so you can fill the void that is created by real life failures and shortcomings. When a developer makes inferior games, they should be financially punished and called out. Luckily, Stranger of Paradise and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty both sold worse than the Nioh games, so the True Team Ninja fans know what to do.
As for Rise of the Ronin, a lot of things have lined up to make it a financial disaster:
- Comes out the same day as Dragon's Dogma 2, which has dominated the marketting and mainstream attention.
- Garbage graphics. The vast majority of normies value graphics.
- Banned in South-Korea.
- Third-party PS5 timed exclusives, which rarely do well. Sony fans usually only buy First-Party Sony exclusives.
- Dumbed down and casualized combat which turns off true Team Ninja Fans.
The only good things Rise of the Ronin does are:
- More graphic gore, bloodsprays, dismemberment and beheadings.
- Clarity of vision during combat sequences thanks to no excessive particle effects.
Hopefully Team Ninja carries these improvements over to their future pure action and action-rpg products.
No wonder you got triggered by the phrase "True Team Ninja fan", which you aren't a part of, because True Team Ninja fans can atleast read the information Team Ninja puts out and be informed about the products they are making.
You are just the typical mass consumerist, cult of positivity and hype shill that has damaged the quality of games and gaming in the last two decades.
Yep, in 2024 opinions are now equated as "facts" lol
WOOOOOOOOOOW.......... you really are in the hivemind huh? Not surprised based on your first post on this thread.
Yeah I'm so "mass consumerist" that I only buy games I'm interested in, oh no a person who has their own likes and opinions, oh my goodness the world is falling apart........lol (what a loser). I can list HUNDREDS of AAA games that the average person eats up like candy that I have not even paid a bit of attention to or even bothered wasting my money on. I ONLY interact with games that I am interested in or at least have a high likelihood of enjoying based on my preferences/likes.
I'm not a "doomscroller" (like you) where you will find me complaining/whining on a games forums that I was never interested in, nor will I join in on a negative OR positive bandwagon just because a few influences said something as I don't worship others opinions over my own, its called BEING AN INDIVIDUAL.
To prove my point even further let me list some mainstream beloved AAA games that I personally believe are "trash" yet you still call me a "mass consumerist" : GOW:Rag, Alan Wake 2, Balders Gay 3, Spiderman 1/2, Starfield, ANY Starwars game, Persona, Neir Automata, FF7 remake/rebirth, FF16, Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon, LoL, WoW, Dota, ANY MMO, ANY interactive movie game, ANY Sports game, Vampire survivors (or any game like it), any boring survival crafting game ....... I could literally go on forever and pee off 99% of gamers lol.
But according to your masterful assessment of me and my likes, I just "CONSOOOM everything" and I'm "positive" about everything lol. No I'm just not like you who sits in threads/forums of things they don't like just to drum up drama.
"cult of positivity" LOLOLOL. Yep liking a game and knowing my own preferences in games, sure give off that "cult of positivity" feeling.
Your a joke as you are just spewing empty words that mean nothing and 99% of what you say or label me as is factually false.
Stay mad that everyone does not link up to your hivemind where everyone hates what you hate and everyone loves what you love.
Edit: I love how its always the private profiles that go on the crazy rants and get so mad when people have different opinions then them, Got something to hide?
Koei Tecmo said they expect Rise of the Ronin to sell 5m copies, LMAO, in their idiotic dreams! Rise of the Ronin will barely sell 1m copies and might actually sell much less and be a financial disaster thanks to the reasons I stated in my previous reply. This is a golden chance, True Team Ninja Fans will not buy Rise of the Ronin.
Team Ninja has a history of betraying their fans and core audience and trying to sell out, only to fail miserably and then come crawling back and apologizing (Ninja Gaiden 3, Dead or Alive 6). Team Ninja needs to be kept on a tight leash by their fanbase, this is the sad reality of this studio. If Rise of the Ronin manages to reach that 5m sales target, then it is over for Team Ninja as we know it, they will go balls deep and chase and cater to the casual masses. They will never ever make a proper Ninja Gaiden game, or a proper Nioh game, or a new IP with combat depth again.
I use this account for communication on Steam forums only, that is its function. I never post on my main account, it is for gaming only.
Enough of just stupid gaming activist garbage you and others keep pushing, I'm so tired of this hivemind mentality, of "lets fight the man by, causing hundreds of thousands to lose their jobs because we don't like a product", its so childish, and shows you really only care about yourself, especially if you were never going to buy the game in the first place (your just pushing your negative bias onto others).
Your logic is severely flawed if you think TN (or any dev in 2024) could just recover from a massive failure (unless BlackRock is funding them) and then come back strong for them to make what YOU specifically want them to make. There are literally dev all over that have successful games and their STILL downsizing and letting thousands of people loose, so what do you think will happen if a game fails in the current economy?
I guess according to you these devs just have infinite money trees where if their next big AAA release fails they can say "Hey Bob, our latest game just tanked, can you grab that bundle cash from the top there so we can fund our next project? We have to start developing the game that use "Treasure Chest" really wants so we can make money".
Your clearly a very very angry individual because a video company changed (wow thats never happened before........), but I say suck it up and deal with it because thats life as nothing ever stays the same. When a company or game is no longer to your liking you can do 2 things in this life:
1: Don't purchase their product and play/enjoy what you like (me).
2: Whine and complain, call for the company to fail, and people to lose their jobs, because your a cry baby (you).
I simply choose 1 and let my wallet speak as I can't control what others spend their hard earned money on. Meanwhile the hivemind (like you) would rather cry like like children until you get your way. Its your very right to act like this, but I have a right to call it like it is as well, CHILDISH nothing more.
You come at me like I have been trying to sell the game to people or shill for the game, when all I have been doing is portraying my own opinion (which has not changed) and my opinion is mostly positive because I have liked most if not all of TNs games in some capacity (all the way back the DoA and Ninja Gaiden).
Grow up and stop acting like the world revolves around your views only. Geez this is exactly what is wrong with people, everyone thinks they are "smarter", more "educated", then the other person so they try to dictate what they believe is "best" for others. Its a stupid video game, not anything important so why are people like you so upset all the time? Are you not thankful you even get to enjoy videogames while others around the world could only wish they was the least of their problems.
Nothing more of value can be gained from our interactions because you are just rage baiting and made over literally nothing, and its only because you want them to make the game only you want. Life has never worked like that, and if you think it does, you probably were never told NO when you were growing up.
2. Gaming is not a charity, I don't care if garbage employees lose their jobs, it is a good thing when they lose their jobs, there are far too many garbage games being made or games being held back by garbage employees/coders who are talentless and or passionless! These "people" do not belong in the gaming industry, if they can't compete, that is their problem, they can go get another job.
1. I already told you, Team Ninja has multiple teams and works on multiple projects at the same time. Rise of the Ronin being a financial disaster won't put them out of business, it will only teach them a lesson and make them a better studio.
2. Team Ninja created Nioh: Complete Edition and Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition when they were a smaller studio, they created these superior games when they had LESS money and funds. Talent shines under pressure, Team Ninja being put under pressure is a good thing.
1. I am a very happy individual. The gaming industry can die tomorrow and I will still have enough old games that I enjoy to play and replay.
2. I don't mind change, change can be a good thing, as long as it is progression, not regression or devolution, like with the dumbed down, casualized, mass appeal, boring, empty, ubisoft-tier open-world garbage game that is Rise of the Ronin.
3. I will continue to buy and support games that deserve it and I will continue to wish downfall uppon all garbage games and all garbage studios and all garbage employees, when garbage games fail, I will laugh, celebrate and dance, when garbage studios go bankrupt and close, I will laugh, celebrate and dance, when the gaming industry has massive layoffs of talentless and passionless dead weight employees, I will laugh, celebrate and dance. Gaming is not a charity, they deserve to lose their jobs, make quality products for gamers to enjoy, or lose your job, simple.
Wrong, you have literally made 2 threads on this forum trying to convince yourself and others that Rise of the Ronin is somehow this great game that Nioh fans would love. You are a shill, stop denying it.
If I had the power to dictate that developers should maintain the quality of their products and only improve, I would dictate that, but I don't have that power. People like you have ruined the gaming industry and gaming by rewarding garbage games and garbage behavior by developers. People like me don't like that and we will make our voices heard, if you don't like it, that is your problem.
Having a superior position to you doesn't mean I am rage baiting. We will see how life works when Rise of the Ronin hopefully ends up as a financial failure.
