It also has a gearing system thats similar to isometric aRPGs.
You can re-access to tutorials through game menu if you missed them while playing.
Missing it.
Definitely not a monster hunter-style game, but can be more entertaining with friends.
You selected a mission on the map / a stage.
Complete the objective, often noted by a white light on your compass to give you the general direction you could be heading. And if you can't get there directly, find a path to get there.
Character motivation is on the weaker side for the first half. Story pacing is one of the game's weaker areas.
As you become comfortable with combat system, explore the skill tree, and such. As a rough example of gameplay once comfortable with the combat mechanics, but intentionally building to let the boss suffer longer:

The levels are really big and intricate, but you don't have to fully explore them. Think of it more like the game is giving you a choice of routes. You might get some extra loot or open up a shortcut, but it's not like Dark Souls where you need to explore every nook and cranny or risk missing items, characters, entire areas, etc.
Finally, the biggest difference in my opinion: While From Software makes hard games, they also tend to be elegantly simple. Team Ninja are more about giving you a ton of depth and complex mechanics to master, so you kind of have to embrace that complexity.
You’re running through levels to get to the hardest difficulty, then farming rare loot and sets.
exactly this. It's not fully a souls game yet it also borrow ideal from looter games.
i was send that video once, and it made me start playing this game.
