Are there difficulty settings in this game?

I could probably Google this, but I like these discussion forums. Does this game have various difficulty settings like easy, medium and hard? I've heard that it's rather difficult, so I was wondering.

No theres no difficulty settings.

You make the game as difficult as you want it. I don't use jutsu or onymo for example.

No but there are ways to play that make life easier if you want. Focusing on Ninjutsu and Onmyo, especially things like Paralysis and Sloth, will make things very easy (too easy for the more hardcore players, but don't worry about them if you're having fun).

New game is the "easiest" one. No further setting to make it easier. From there it only gets harder.... in theory, but in practice the beginning of new game is probably the hardest part but gets easier and easier until the endgame in ng4+, where it gets really hard. Ng+(+++) cycles are minimal adjustments only most of the time.

There are so many hours spent in Nioh 2 here. Made me chuckle.

You can look up guides on Youtube for ninjutsu build to become OP and destroy every boss. You'll have to beat the first three bosses "normally" though, by which point you might not want to cheese the game anymore.

But I would still go with ninjutsu build for your first character, because at NG++ and further you'll need all the cheese you can get.

if you are new to this game the current difficulty you are playing is easy/tutorial mode.

depends how you willing to learn mechanics in dojo . it took some time hard way

Initially, no. You have several difficulties later on but only apply when you completed the game the first time.
