Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition

How do you guys level each Onmyo/Ninjutsu skill beyond the first level?
As I understand it, there's a limited number of skill points for each tree; you can't fully acquire and level every skill. I noticed leveling up the Onmyo and Ninjutsu skills beyond the first level only increases their capacity and reduces the cost, rather than increase effectiveness like some of the skills in other trees. Is it better to spread your points thin for more variety, or focus on a small part of the tree and use more of what little you have?

I'm inclined to think the latter, as I noticed spreading yourself thin and trying to carry as much stuff as possible tends to only allow for a single use of certain skills, and no use of others.

It's amazing how people somehow get the idea he's talking about stat points when he's specifically talking about skill trees.

@OP: While there IS a cap on skill points per tree, for onmyo and ninjutsu in particular, you CAN max most of the tree with enough time in the game. You can also get a not insignificant amount of additional points via items in certain levels.
There is also the simple fact that you can reset the skill trees for a pittance, pretty much whenever you want. So spreading thin to experiment with the different options is fine, you can always reset later to specialize in the things you KNOW work with your desired playstyle.

level all stats to 10 first, get magic and dexterity to 30 then put levels as you see fit

get what you like to use, purity talisman early game and ninja bombs are awesome but ideally you want to get quick change ninutsu and the feathers and some nice buffs from the onmyo tree

It's better to specialize and have all parts of your build choices support each other.

there's no harm in mentioning stat points if others see it and it helps them too
Great, thanks for the help, mates.

That's unexpected. I read on Reddit that you want to pump all your stats to 20, then half to 30. Presumably, the 30 and beyond will probably go into your weapon stats and Onmyo/Ninjutsu.
This is where I got my information.

their info isn't bad at all, I'd go 15 rather than 20 on the other stats though, your presumption is what I personally would do yes and of course enough stats to be able to move around in your preferred weight class
Just have fun finding a play style/weapons you enjoy. If your only playing through the game once won't really matter what you do til later in way of the demon and on. Like someone said you can always refund your points and move them around to your liking. By then with higher difficulties like Wise/Nioh you really could use a build that slaps or it's going to be tough sledding the way things scale for sure in the underworld. My honest opinion is you don't need everything in either of the full trees just what works well with whatever build/play style you adapt to and there is more then enough points to make most things viable.
