sooooo I just activated my DLC rewards and now I got OP stuff

Is my save file now basicly a reset? I am not playing fr long and thought nothing about it first, but all that armor and the weapons ect is just.... a litle much

None of it is remotely OP. It will all be outclassed before you finish the second main mission, unless you have ABHORRENT RNG on loot drops throughout the missions. You also won't have the resources to forge new armors or weapons of those for a while yet, and they don't drop as part of the normal pool on NG.


The Pre-order bonuses and boons in no way substantially alter gameplay or progression. The closest they can come to that is if you immediately donate all of it to the kodama shrine, which can net you a level up or two, as well as a signficant amount of divine rice right off the bat (which itself is not that helpful so early on in the game).

Nah, you can dismantle the stuff after the first mission, as JtDarth stated. You just have to unlock the items in the inventory so you can actually get rid of them

Because let me explain to you, back then people datamined DLC items and skins for weapons and EA thought that it be ideal to just unlock all that stuff for all players. Now that seems like a nice thing to do but the problem comes up when you play the story and the first store gives you all items in the game. All weapons basicly just with a diffrent colour, and also the armor in the game. all for free of course so you dont have to worry about balance and stuff.

Now that seems like a nice thing to do but the problem comes up when you play the story and the first store gives you all items in the game. All weapons basicly just with a diffrent colour, and also the armor in the game. all for free of course so you dont have to worry about balance and stuff.

yeah its not like dead space 2, which i remember back in the day where they gave you OP suits and weapons, its not like this here. basically you only unlock level 1 gear and smithing texts, anything you pick up will be better than what the dlc actually gives you. what i do is just change the look of my gear to match the look of dlc gear, but in the end its the gear you pick up thats better, not the dlc gear itself. you can smith the dlc weapons but they will NEVER be overpowered.

I cant even get past the damn monkey in the first mission, the one near that hut.... I started training in the dojo against yokai and I hope it will help

DLC is honestly pretty crap.
endgame gear only drops in dream of the nioh(last diffculty) after the underworld(you beat 115 floors, then you get the depths) anyway, feel free to use
