hes not hard to you because you spent three hours grinding him for a set
Even though you wanna be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'll still give tips since I sense you struggle with him:
1.) You can get behind him more often by dodging into his charge to the right than to the left.
2.) He's more likely to track you during his bouncing off the wall charges if you're on fire. If you're not on fire and a decent ways away from him, 9 times out of 10 you can just stand there and he'll ping-pong himself between the same two walls.
2.a) The Ninjutsu Levitation eliminates the floor fires entire threat level
3.) His tusks are extremely brittle while he is charging. Time a long ranged poke with your melee weapon to strike his face right as he's about to catch you with the charge. Alternatively, you can use the Aberration Soul Core to fire a long ranged shot at his face when he turns towards you with the charge.
4.) Dodge into his spinning axes to get inside and get a free couple hits in depending on your weapon. If you get hit by the spinning axes stay guarding, don't try to dodge out if you can avoid it, and don't try and get close just mitigate the axe spin damage and get ready to dodge the follow up. You'll get hit by something 9 times out of 10 if you try to be aggressive after getting clipped by that. Likewise, if you get hit by one axe during the spin, you'll get hit by the other so don't try to dodge out of it just stay blocking.
5.) I touched on this earlier but I'll elaborate here. When he charges you, dodge towards him and to the left or right. I prefer the right side. It's the Demon's Souls mentality of staying under the bosses weapon arm. "But he has two weapon arms! You're dumb!" I hear you say. Yes he does, but his left arm(our right) is typically the one he raises above his head to do something, so it's easier to dodge behind him that way.
6.) As you probably overheard from the Cheerleaders of your high school football team back in the day, be aggressive! Be be aggressive! When you break his stamina and he becomes stagger-able, don't let up on his ass. If you need to heal then do it when he's shifting to get his stamina back. Have Soul Cores that are good at breaking an enemies stamina. Once you've broken his stamina use that Soul Core on him. The goal is to try and get him into chest-stabby range. The giant Tongue Bro Monk demons are good for this.
7.) Know your weapon. Sounds like a no brainer, but your weapon skills aren't necessarily the best thing since sliced bread in this fight. For example, my Spears middle stance heavy attacks deal more S-Dps(Stamina Damage Per Second) than even an Axe in the same amount of time you have to hit, and by far mid stance heavy with the spear is better for that fight than anything else I got. It does considerable stamina damage and comes out quickly meaning I can get 3 pokes in between each set of his attacks.

Just some things I learned that made fighting him a lot easier. Hope it helps someone. Back to grinding for that smithing text though for me.
I got an audiobook I've been meaning to listen to so while you're trying to actively be a ♥♥♥♥ for no reason, the joke is ultimately on you. Have fun being that person among your friends everybody would sacrifice first in the event of an apocalypse.
again, have fun
Shibata tries to grab you, he missed and then he will stagger forever till he dies.
Yatsu-No-Kami(the Snake Boss) is always the hardest hurdle for me to climb whenever I make a new character, since I'm an alt-aholic and make new characters for new builds instead of respec'ing all the time. Yatsu-No-Kami and Enenra for me are both health check bosses. Like they're both pretty slow and they both have a easy to do gimmick to break their stamina, but they hit so hard for how weak you are at the point in the game in which you fight them that it's like a puckerfest the entire fight.
@Angel
Yeah I got the hidden technique, just not the armor smithing text.
sorry you got super unhelpful people on your post, sometimes a text just won't drop for even 300 tries trust me I know
To be fair I wasn't really aiming to get help in any way. I was just kind of taking a break from farming and griping about it lol.
Like most bosses before I manage to beat on 1-3 tries, but this massive lad needed maybe 10 and acolyte to assist
