Soft Crash in first mission of Tengus Disciple

Just started the dlc, and when i enter what i assume to be the room where i fight a boss before the end of the level, the game soft crashes. Just hangs on a black loading screen. Anyone else have this issue, or have a solution?

First thing: Are you running any mods? Number two: What room in particular? Is it the one right after you hit the beach for the first time? There will be a music change when approaching boss doors.
Third: Have you verified cache?

I think I remember reading about there being an issue with a cutscene here, but that was in connection with Proton/Steam Deck.

Have you tried divine branching out and restarting the mission from the beginning?

My other suggestion is gonna suck for you:
Have you tried a different save? Save corruption could be an issue.

I know save corruption can cause softlocks on load screens when the game can't find the correct variables in your save data to check state of key flags.

That other suggestion does suck! I'll give the divine branch a show, but i don't have another character at that level. doing a re-installation of my graphics driver now.
