Spear question regarding flying monkey / cull the herd?
Recently unlocked cull the herd for my spear as a follow-up to flying monkey. It's amazing.

If I customize the flying monkey skill for say, corruption or more ki damage, will that bonus apply to cull the herd? Thanks in advance! The skill customization has been difficult for me overall.

I don't use spears much but if it's continuation from a skill that has corruption or what not. It will usually work with the entire thing. Can always check yourself when you use a skill equipped with an enchantment like corruption or fire. For example, during the skill animation your weapon will light up purple for corruption. Or light up in flames if using fire. So, if you are using a continuation off a skill and your weapon does not light with the chosen effect then it's not being used. Just spend few minutes and training ground to test that stuff out it's what I do if not sure of something.

Thanks a lot! I'll be sure to use the training ground more in the future for these types of things.

Yes, the bonus does apply to the WEAPON strikes part of cull the herd - the spinny kick part does not receive any elemental or purity / corruption bonus.

Is this true for any bonus on cull the herd, or just the elemental/purity/corruption ones? Because right now I have it set to bonus ki damage, but if the initial kicks aren't getting that bonus, I'd wager I'd be better off with something else.

From my testing I believe yes, the non-elemental bonuses like 10% more damage etc. WILL apply to the kicks, just not any elemental bonus. I think that's also consistent with any other "kick" move like pole kick.

I'll keep trying it out, thanks.
