I don't think it's suspicious, it's basically saying to you "take me along for the ride" like how sometimes when you kill a yokai and they drop the soul core and give some dialog like "I will lend you my power" or whatever

I already read it, sudamas are 'corrupted' kodamas but they don't turn evil so why would their soul change?
