Dream of the Wise Build advice
Greetings everyone,

I am almost done with Dream of the Demon only 2 Main Missions are left. I leveled every Weapon to lvl 35 ( max ) currently and I dont know what to do in Dream of the Wise in terms of Build. I have watched some Build videos but I dont have the necessary gear with the graces. So I thought, I need to get to the certain point of the game to farm the necessary gear in Dream of the Wise. I have right now a balanced build meaning

Con: 50
Courage: 50
Heart: 50
Stamina: 45
Everything else: 40

Do you have a build which you recommend ? What do you use currently in Dream of the Wise ?

I want to prepare myself for the Difficulty, because I want to play the game the "right way" how it supposed to be played. I have enjoyed everything in the game. Now I can tryhard xD.

One thing I know for sure, Kusari - Gamma Axe, and Hachets are weapons, I dont want to use and build around. Axe is pretty OP, but I dont enjoy the using. I never was a fan of it. But at least I tryed it.

If you have any builds you currently enjoy and use in this Difficulty dont hesitate to share. I am open minded really.

Thank you for your listening

Sana

dont. youd just have to replace your stuff again in dotn.
just use omnyo magic and ninjutsus. its enough to shredder dotw and dotn.

if you dont want to do that either, then go for poison. if you dont want to do that either then use amabie guardian spirit+ honda clan and some armor, if you dont want to do that either, i dont know.

well, to give atleast a stat advice (the weapon type is irrelevant):
90 magic
90 dexternity
45 con
40 courage
15 heart
45 stamina
15 skill
15 strength

Hey, first of all: Would you like to play together? I just got to dream of wise too and... well, the game is officially ravaging my tiny butthole. Not to mention I'd like to have someone to play together with.

Now about your question itself: I know that building a bit of everything is very ineffective. You want a specify your build.

I've been trying different builds myself. I had an amrita build. Using the magic to get amrita on hit, and then the clan that heals you when you get amrita, as well as other buffs. It was pretty effective and I'd do it again, if I got the gear for it. With it, you get a lot of healing so you generally can keep hitting at full health.

For builds you obviously need gear, and I noticed that the scroll thing matters a lot. On wise, I got for instance a scroll that gives me toughness AA and agility AA when I have 150... I think stamina it was. For that reason I am now running axe with that, and even though I can't really benefit from the scroll yet (like, at all, because apparantly I also need a ton of toughness), the axe does well. But, you don't like that one, so eh.

I also tried a full defense build. So as much as armor as possible, but also damage reductions. That was pretty disappointing. Sure, I could survive a little longer, instead of getting one or two shot I now got killed in 3 or 4 hits, but the idea of defenses was... meh.

One that I felt was really powerful (and one that can be made without needing graces per se) is omnyo. With that ultimate skill that lets you cast spells fast, high magic damage, chance of omnyo not being spent on hit, it was really good. Although it took getting used to. I used it with the staff weapon, because I had found a good one, but I think anything that scales with magic ought to work.

The best set for that was spirit of seimei. Which can be obtained with pre-orange. Now at wise there even is a grace which is even better, but yeah, you can already farm it beforehand. The annoying thing is that the set is hard to find. Its one of the very few sets that cannot be really obtrained through rewards. You have to just be lucky.

There are a few builds still on my to do list but that's what I've tried.

I think it's more efficient to run as fast as possible to Dream of the Nioh.

If you choose side missions well, the only wall is Otakemaru on each playthrough.
He is tough(it took me like 40 min to beat him in dream of the wise with my poor excuse for a ninja but he is relatively simple to no-hit or close enough.

My first mission in Dream of the Nioh, a very easy side mission in the 1st area; i got more than 1 billion XP. Crazy. No point wasting time in lower difficulties

I really dont think you need to farm specific gear until you get to the Dream of the Nioh, especially if you coop and arent vastly underleveled for the content you're doing.

You may not need to farm specific gear. But isn't it so that you can already find the sets you want, albeit lower level than what you'd have found at dream of the nioh? So you can already make builds and then replace the parts later?
