the dlc missions are always around "Dream" of the next ng+ circle in terms of difficulty, amrita and so on . if you play the dlc missions now youll just run into a weird difficulty spike in form of a boss in the second mission of the first dlc.
When the first dlc was released back on ps4, most of the playerbase had already played through dream of the strong. In order to not make the dlc feel too easy they compomised and placed them into the middle of dream of the strong so it atleast wont be a cakewalk for those that awaited the dlc and it atleast wont be an unclimable wall for fresh newcomers.
It makes more sense to play up to "dream" of ng+ first, otherwise the first 4 regions of dream of the strong will outright bore you, because you are far too strong in terms of level and equipment.
in my opinion you should play all dlc missions on Dream of the samurai difficulty when you have reached the fifth region of dream of the strong difficulty.
Im about there prob a few more hours
If I play dlc rn will I have a Harder time right? because at the end of the day I just want a challenge...
Recommend playing through a few missions on the next NG+ before you start it.
