Play DLC

id disagree.
the dlc missions are always around "Dream" of the next ng+ circle in terms of difficulty, amrita and so on . if you play the dlc missions now youll just run into a weird difficulty spike in form of a boss in the second mission of the first dlc.

When the first dlc was released back on ps4, most of the playerbase had already played through dream of the strong. In order to not make the dlc feel too easy they compomised and placed them into the middle of dream of the strong so it atleast wont be a cakewalk for those that awaited the dlc and it atleast wont be an unclimable wall for fresh newcomers.

It makes more sense to play up to "dream" of ng+ first, otherwise the first 4 regions of dream of the strong will outright bore you, because you are far too strong in terms of level and equipment.

Ig I'll work on new game and play dlc when I get to dream of the wise or dream of the nioh don't know how far ng goes
The "Dream" i was talking about is the fifth region, the region after "dawn".

in my opinion you should play all dlc missions on Dream of the samurai difficulty when you have reached the fifth region of dream of the strong difficulty.

DLC; unlike Nioh 1, the DLC's difficulty isn't designed with NG++ on mind so it's very doable.

Dude, the DLCs of Nioh 2 scale HALF as quickly as the base game. The gaki in the Afterglow boss rush with Ryomen Sukuna and Shibata Katsuie has 2794 hp, the gaki in the Rivals Return mission has 2990 hp. The final boss of the DLCs has around 10% more hp than the final boss of the base game. It's like playing through 1-1.5 regions (difficulty-scaling wise) in 3 regions. It's not Nioh 1, where the final mission of its DLC (242) was on par with the final mission of Nioh 2's DLCs... on NG+ (242).

If I play dlc rn will I have a Harder time right? because at the end of the day I just want a challenge...

I'm curious as to the answer here too, I haven't finished the game yet. In Nioh 1 I always did the DLC at the end of whatever NG cycle I was immediately.

I think difficulty-wise is on par with the base game, besides some of the bosses.

gotcha

also quick question is the modding community good or just down bad

The DLC is pretty tough if you jump right into it.
Recommend playing through a few missions on the next NG+ before you start it.

If you are planning on going all the way to WotN, I would just shortcut everything as much as possible and go straight there, then do all the stuff you want to, since you are going to replace all the gear you pick up on earlier playthroughs anyway... unless you really just want to farm gear for each playthrough and keep replacing it.

From what I saw the vast majority of the mods is lewd stuff or some kind of cosmetic change nothing really noteworthy.
