I think it depends on the weapon and other skills that you have going on.
For a time with spear and tonfa, I might have wanted to aim for that perfect ki pulse depending on the stance or flow of the battle. As you start to get pretty high ki recovery, using Barrier, and/or under effects of Faster Ki Recovery, you might start to have other options that don't require ki pulse and still allow you to keep some pressure on the enemy.
So the ki pulse for Spear Flourish from Mystic Dyad (Spear) - I am finding I do not want this against yokai that have a good chunk of ki remaining and will ki pulse via a dodge instead, replenish some of that ki, then prepare for that block if needed. It's a rhythm that's started to help me out, except for foes like the heckish hag, itsumade, and the magatatsu warrior (spelling).
He literally just told you what to do. You don't like the standard KI pulse and you can use the dodge KI instead. Then you complain again about the system he said to not use.
STOP USING IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT.
I only like brute guardian spirits. So let me post like a pepega about other spirit types i don't like /s .
I get the game feeling janky at the start. I was with you. But at 260 hours you don't know boss timings? Enemy attacks that leave them wide open?
Yep its not rewarding and it doesn't make you feel skillful. Most of the time it feels like a dumbass doing a well time music game.
So if you don't like it, simply don't use it and play like any other game, which, based on your "I have 260 over hrs into the game" response, says to me you've been doing just that.
Hell, it's is not even indispensable, since you have other options to purify a Yokai realm.
Don't blame the devs for an added bonus.
You know you could try using moves in a lower stance or light attacks instead of heavy or less attacks in a string, so that your attacks are shorter in such a way that you can get all your ki back with pulse while still keeping on the offensive, optimally in a way that maximizes ki damage with proper use of active skills, right?
Oh wait, that would require you to think about your moveset and the enemy's movesets, I'm sorry.
you may not like it, but it objectively adds depth to the combat. quit yer whinging.
Its retarded and that my opinion. You want to shut me up because I have a different opinion?
LOL
no, i want you to shut up because your opinion doesn't matter, and youre pointlessly spreading negativity.
How DARE you suggest that he change his playstyle to account for the enemy.
As a Moonlit Snow spammer i will ONLY spam leftbumper + y from start of a stage to finish. Onmyo, healing, ranged weapons, blocking, dodging, KI, thinking, not being a pepega IS FOR NOOBS.
Soy gives me all the power i need. /s
