No it doesn't if that is what you want to know. Nioh 2 doesn't have like a 3rd party program anti-cheat. Maybe they will add it in the future, who knows.

You should be fine. Just in case though u should probably check and see if there's an offline mode you can toggle on.

Start Steam in offline mode, and then the game stays in offline even when you set Steam online again.. until you press the R-thumbstick button on the map to reconnect to network.

(I don't want to leave my pathetic graves all over the place with my name on them, nor would I want anyone running into a level 300 grave in the starting areas, as I've did some scouting ..around a little)

Yeah! Just played with somone cheating. One shot everything including bosses... Really sad. Online play and no fun for me or the host.

You won't get banned from messing around in this game, but the game does have anti cheat in that if you edit the numbers in this game with something like Cheat Engine the game forces you to the title screen just like in Nioh 1
