Severing Spin: Minamoto no Yorimitsu for Katana is cool too.
Fleeting Edge: Mumyo is great for Switchglave.
And if your feeling up for it, Izuna Drop from Hayabusa Ren.
That said, True and Through is surprisingly powerful as well. Drops from Azai Nagamasa for sword. That hold Y and flash forward that the Odachi has? You now has that on basic sword (with a bit lower range), and it hits pretty hard for a single hit. At least two thirds of an Iai quickdraw that's fully charged, with much less downtime both before and after, as well as a lot of traverse. I've actually used it as a dodge before.
Combined with night rain, it absolutely embarasses most bosses that aren't at DotS Ren Hayabusa levels of relentless assault.
It also hits really hard, I have no %increased ninjutsu damage at all and only around 60 Dex but it hit up to 25k+ on enemies weak to fire.
Do these skills scale off of heart or courage or something? As a constitution/strength build I've always found that they do jack all damage. If that is the case then its weird since you can assign them to any weapon.
There's actually 3 of these skills and they all drop off the boss of Hollow Fortress, Saito Yoshitatsu. You can duel him in the Point of No Return side mission. Its Dragon Fang for katana, Dragon Claw for dual swords, and Dragon Horn for Odachi.
A lot of people would disagree about Hayabusa's ninjutsu skills. at least for the fireball skill Flame Dragon. A lot of people run that one. Its one of the highest damaging ninjustsu skills and, even more so for a pyro build as it also is one of the strongest fire attacks. The flame tornado it creates while you are casting it knocks back and damages enemies making it pretty safe to cast and on top of that the high damage numbers make it useful for leveling ninjutsu proficiency.
I got to agree, but I'd say Triple Threat IN PARTICULAR is pretty beastly. Timed right the damage is very high, the reach is deceptively long, and human enemies have a hard time guarding against it.
It's listed under Samurai Skills and can be used by all weapons.
I do not know if it can scale from stats or is based on your current weapon's stats.
