But personally, I still find Saito Toshimitsu to be single handedly THE WORST BOSS in the game. Worse than fighting both bull and horse at the same time.
If they deal nearly no damage to you, then its so damn obvious that you're way over levelled. No s--t its easy.
or maybe you should stop playing a light armor glass canon build then complaining about dying fast. put some points in constitution. they do, in fact, have severely reduced damage compared to their normal solo counterparts.
You all must either be playing a different game or really are way overlevelled.
Edit: That's not a complaint, though, I managed just fine. I just doubt you can be even remotely tanky without either C agility or steel talisman.
Was your gear underleveled? I wasn't overleveled by the time i reached them on NG and i don't remember them hitting hard at all, they were more of an annoyance than a threat
I agree that they were weaker than normally, i.e. I could probably take ~3 direct hits against them.
If you use light armor, you must use either or both protection and quick change ( and get hp regen and possibly steel talisman) . The points that you did not put in stamina for a heavier armor must go to magic/ninjutsu if you want to have survivability in light armor.
This is true for all boss fights. Based on my Nioh1 experience, you can only rely on dodging only with light armor when you know the game and enemy moves by heart and got very good at anticipating them in my opinion ( but you still need a lot of projectile dmg reduction ).
