cant change into yokai form

i just started out last night and i cant figure out why i cant go into yokai form i press T but it just makes me jump forward in my form and then back to human state, im on mouse and keyboard

Sounds like you're using feral form. What you're doing sounds like the burst counter, which in feral form is a small dash forward that triggers a counter hit if a red aura strike connects with you during it.

I do not know the keybinds to activate Yokai mode on keyboard, but you need a full Amrita Gauge (giant orb next to your life bar that goes from 0-100). Once that is full, you usually hit Strong Attack and Sheathe commands. Though on Keyboard and Mouse, that might just be changed to one button. Check your keybinds and look for the move labeled: Yokai Shift.

Yokai Burst: Counter attack dependent on the equipped Spirit (Feral, Phantom, Brute).
Yokai Shift: Change into Yokai form dependent on your equipped Spirit.

maybe take a look at ur option my yokai shift is T by default too
while i bound my burst counter which the action u descripted to 1 of my mouse button
but maybe u switched ur button by accident

same here dude, i binded exact button for yokai shift and when i press it - it just do parry move...

just figured out the problem - somehow controller type affects MKB buttons, switch to Type A and it should work nicely

Go to the dojo and and try the tutorials again. They work well if u change ur bottons around
