Bulk cooking recipes/workbenches

In the later game, my cook basically does nothing but cooking all day, and they never are able to go through all the recipes or stockpile set up.

I feel it takes too long, and the result is not enough. May be good for the beginning of the game, but later on, we should have some oven or recipe that makes multiples or produces results faster, or that can do more at the same time (for example while the bread is baking).

Had hoped that the electric stove would be a huge leap in cooking speed and processing. Yet it is the same old, just that you save on cooking fuel.

Wish it would either produce way faster, or larger amounts. Aka take multiple amounts of the ingredients, and make bigger bulks. Instead of creating 2 meals, take 4 times the incredients, and make 8 meals at once for only twice the time or so.

I had to start using two cooking stoves because my guy would get distracted while one was baking and wander off. I wonder if he can keep up with three.

Electric stove being faster would be nice.

Using two stoves actually helps a lot. So thanks for that hint. Still weird to have to do it this way. I think i would have preferred a single stove that can do some bulk recipes. Aka using more base resources to make a larger amount at once.

That's the way the game is. There might be a mod for this.

And two stoves is indeed the way to go, since some of the dishes need some alone time in the oven after preparation. Then the cook can start preparing another dish one the other stove, and not run off to do another task.

I used a mod with bigger batches (although not cooking), enabling to make batches of 5 for most things in the game. It was very helpful, although a bit cheat, I suspect:

Having everyone eat a prepared meal twice a day is indeed a full-time job with more than a few survivors. I only cook from time to time, and let the guys eat blueberries for most of the time.
