Wed Need a MAP with Overlays.

We need a MAP with OVERLAYS.
Why should I spend time scrolling arround and arround just to find an Insect's nest that was previously pinpointed?.
I'm okay with fog of war but not having a map on a "space age" is just dumb.

Well, there would be no GPS or network, so they would be stuck with drawing their own maps by hand. But it would be really nice to be able to just put in map pins or somesuch so we can keep track of things like distant insect nests. It's a nightmare on the new Saltu map... only found one nest so far because you can't see them through the tree cover. But that does make sense in terms of jungle danger.

Overlay would really help. I see no reason why they couldn't draw simple maps like they had as far back as medieval times. No GPS there. Just ye olde "here there be sea monsters" warnings, resource locations, etc. I remember it just like it was yesterday, but that might just be a different game I was playing. ;) Also a simple compass. GPS could come later on tech tree.

It would make the game even more amazing and really help people who get lost easy. (Like me)

I would be really excited for just a compass so that I could remember "resource SW of base." I try to just mentally pick directions based on my original base alignment or the direction of the sun.

Maps would be nice, even if they're sketched -- or match the quality of the peron's intellect who drew on it.
