If a married survivor becomes "lovers" with another survivor, the previous marriage appears to be nullified. So definitely rearrange bed assignments if you want the people to get the happiness buff for sleeping next to each other.
Since it happened to me, the 'new' couple's relationship blossomed, and they are now engaged. But now Quinn is starting to eye up Nova... He's a player.
Two of my characters got married in that game, but on the summary page when completing, where it lists important events, I don't think it mentioned the marriage, but it mentioned that the couple broke up!
I think it's a bug, because I never got a message of this in game, and they shared a bedroom all the time and got the 'slept with my love' buff. And when one of them left on the rescue pod, the remaining one got a -15 debuff for her leaving.
Both characters were from the workshop, though (Data and Heidi), so that might have messed up something.
Quinn in particular, has now hooked up with all but one of the 5 ladies in my survivor pool. And, apparantly, a person can only be in one relationship at a time, because each time he hooks up with one, it changes the state of the other relationship he had been in.
It was interesting that only 3% of players had completed the scenario, by the way! Since it was the only one for so long. Almost the same as the one to have less than 5 meltdowns, which was 2,7%.
But I must admit it was a bit boring to just sit and stare at the screen on max speed towards the end (I normally play on normal speed mainly). I understand the wishes for different endings I've seen in various threads around here. But fun to have done!
Sorry, drifting off-topic...
Fortunately, using turbo speed does not disable achievements. It's not cheating, it's just avoiding monotony.
MIght be an extra strain for the system to run at that turbo speed, though, or it would probably have been in the game. Might have had to have higher system requirements.
What key is the turbo speed, on the keyboard? I'm subscribing to the cheat mod, but haven't activated it.
Planning to do the military scenario next though, so I probably won't need higher speed there, but nice to have the option!
It doesn't seem to strain the system from what I've seen, and the AI still even works fine. It does cut out a ton of the animations, I think. Either that or they just go so fast you don't see them, but I'd think THAT would strain the system.
I don't actually use the turbo speed often. Haven't used it yet in my Long trade scenario, and I'm into year 7. But I did use it a LOT in the crash scenarios I've played, when at that final stretch just waiting for rescue pods to be offered.
Good for you! Congratulations!
That is interesting. It's 3.8 percent now, 15 hours after your post. Did the percentage increase that quickly or were you just rounding down? But either way, what do you think that says? Is the game too hard? Are most players doing their best to make it into a colony management sim? If the percentage is rapidly increasing, does that mean all the new players who started upon full release are just beginning to finish?
I've played games before, very good games, where only one-third ever finished the tutorial (for which there was an achievement, so it was trackable). In Fallout 4, not everybody even made it out of the vault. Players, including me, might start a game and learn that it is not what they expected or for any number of reasons decide to toss in the towel just a few hours or minutes in. I think devs expect a certain amount of tasting without indulging. But if i was a dev, always caught between trying to make the game as accessible as possible and trying to appease the hard-core crowd, I might be poring over those numbers to figure out how well they struck the balance.
The numbers were what it said when I got the achievements, so it has gone up!
16% have 'Gone!!!', the achievement for having a survivor escape the planet, so many have probably found it a bit boring to just wait for the others to be picked up, as I also experienced, I'm afraid.
Also got 'Getting the hang of this' yesterday, which is for surviving 3 years (last survivor sent home year 4 day 8 or something), and about 33% have that one. I thought I had played for longer than that in previous games, so achievements are useful for statistics like that.
Oh i stand corrected. Eventhough i finished it i did not get the achievement it seems. Oh well, even better lol
We are always thankful for you, Flin. You are such a knowledgeable, calm and reassuring voice of reason on these threads. So please know that it is not just for your padding the non-achievement numbers that we appreciate you. :)
Actual Malice, thank you for your kind words. Know though that i hold no candle to the support you and several others give to new players. I learn so much from you people.
