I might remember this wrong, but I think I saw a post a while ago where an 'official' mentioned that Chaos was not the hardest, but Nyx, I think?
But not sure. Only tried Concordia myself, and easy difficulty!
Concordia has had many night attacks in my games, btw.
Hi Byakuren!
The difficulty and the moons affect a variety of things, and work together in different ways.
The greater the difficulty, the less starting resources you have when you first land, there's less time between each attack, there could be a greater number of attacking creatures, and you'll generally experience more setbacks.
As for the moons, they generally affect the frequency and size of a creature attack:
Hope that helped clear things up!
Chaos: more frequent attacks, larger attack base, at time attacks are scaled up from the attack base , more weather events. Hardest moon
Jason: Fewer attacks than Chaos, larger attack base, guessing a litte more weather events. hard moon
Nyx: fewer attacks, attacks in the dark, not sure about weather, likely to be same as concordia. fairly hard moon
Concordia, fewer attacks, lower attack base, less weather events.
Standard moon.
One last question, im playing right now on hard + Concordia Moon, and have noticed that some times i get attacked every 5-7 days, but some times enemies attack every 2-3 days, is that normal?
I've also only played on Concordia, and sometimes there were 2-3 days between attacks, and sometimes it took over 3 weeks before the next (at least once that I remember). I was playing on easy, though, if that affects frequency.
I remembered this wrong, after reading Jens Erik's post and others
