It happens. I reckon one of the first techs to research is the Safe ( 3 hours ) before you hire new people. And not forgetting to not store your coins on your shelves after.

oh i had a safe. the problem is the ♥♥♥♥ priorities people have. the lady kept stealing from the pod itsself because people refused to empty it.

Delivery set to higher priority on some survivors ? The most "useless" survivor is usually the one i will set to high priority in delivery and handling. Kudos to your thief though. She knew she only had a small window to grab it before it got locked away.

you can force the unload, and you can force it into the safe instead of any other storage places. take the coins off the allowed list everywhere else, then you can right click the storage and there will be an option to transfer undesired items

It's recommended to have at least one survivors with a fairly high "Deliver" priority, so everything gets put away in its proper place. If no one is unloading the pod, you can force them to do so by clicking a survivor and then selecting "Haul [item]". Then that task will be put at the top of their priorities list.

i cant seem to see how to do this.

Select a survivor. Then rightclick the pod and select haul coins or whatever. Works for everything if you want to issue manual orders.

when mercenaries are hired for transport work like medical supplies and stuff, there is generally a pretty high amount of theft that goes into it, i suppose the trick here is to get yourself into a position where you just expect it to happen more than it should and probably does. try to build your possible losses into the equation. otherwise yeah, frontier justice here. I mean you may be your own tiny colony but you dont have laws or law enforcement. of course these a holes are gonna steal from you.
