Anyone else tired of the boring endgame wave attacks?
You researched everything. Built your base up. Can handle attacks and are basicaly just counting down time till the win, but you get periodicaly delayed by boring repetitive wave attacks while you have done and seen everything and just want to finish the game. Yet instead you need to constantly wait out the wave attacks that in the endgame appear to be popping out every 15 minutes.

Anyone else bored with that? Win condition hidden behind this is a pain.

Man what I would give for the option to find the hive or hivemind that keeps sending these waves or even the God of this planet and destroy it. So that I can normaly reach the win conditions without annoying attacks that make me fall asleep.

Now dont get me wrong. Its ok when you are trying to get yourself estabilished, but once you are fully entrenched and secured... Man this is making me sleepy.

Anyone up for a mod that will allow player to attack the source?

So that we can wait out the win condition trigger without forced Timeslow?

e.g.: crashed landing. I need to only wait out for the pick ups. THat takes a lot of time and luck, yet I get constantly delayed by the forced slowmotion because of attacks, while I have nothing more to do, just wait. This kills the feel...

There is no hive. The animals are getting sonic blasted by your radio.

I dont mind the radio ones. I am talking about the other generic ones that come throughout the game. The radio one at least have a bit of a silly explanation, but its something. THe other is just wasting time.
You can try this mod and lower the size of the attacks or have none all together. Then when you're in the end fase set it back to 100 or even 200%

That is kinda good idea. I am interested in decreasing or removing the attacks at the end of the game when they are just uninteresting , boring burden that drags the time till the win. But a way to do it per ingame actions would be a bit better, to change it only by changing setting feels like cheating. Still kinda the best of the available options I guess.
There is also this one. Does not eliminate the normal attacks but changes the endgame and make it shorter but more furious ?

Since I play without mods, here's what I do:

"You researched everything. Built your base up" I used to do exactly that, but afterwards as you said, it got so boring. So I build the Orbital Radio as soon as it pops. Then at least there's something going on while the first few folks are getting rescued.

BUT... around the time half the people get taken off, it gets boring and I simply alt-tab and watch something while the game progresses.

Sorry, probably not helpful....
PS: I guess that's why I cycle through the scenarios so it doesn't get so boring. The fun part of the game is the first 2 years - surviving and thriving.

Nah man, zou are good. I am doing the same thing. Just set speed up and go watch a movie or something because this is one part of the game that is badly designed and quite destroys the atmosphere by simply being boring filler while waiting for picups. Animal attacks from radio at least have somekind of lore sense, the other consant agressive animal attacks ar simply an unfinished annoying concept.
For the Crash landing scenario you can also use this zombie mod.
They are a royal pain in the bucket.

combine that with this mod and you're in for quite the constant not so simple fights i think.

The nest attacks was what was said by many players at the start that the attacks should be tied to something in the world preferably the nests. Unfortunately devs never considered such relation, although it would be a lot more imersive than sudden agressive animal spawns.

Aside from the ones mentioned above, I highly recommend this mod. Contrary to it's name, it adds new leveled up mobs for all enemy types, and is guaranteed to make attacks interesting again. Complacency will get your base wrecked.
