As for Ken, i had him married to Krista in one playthrough so it's not always bad.
If it doesn't work then go use earplugs eventhough it would still look creepy.

Yeah I learned early on in my playthroughs not to add the general relaxation items into the private rooms. I attached a picture of my 2nd floor layout of the house. I made some earplugs for the survivors not like the debuff on the happiness is that critical given all the extra things I have to keep them happy. I even try to save their relaxing and eating for the morning so that as soon as they wake up, they're either running to relax or to eat something downstairs in the kitchen. Thank you both or the tips!
