Jack with cirrhosis
I picked Jack as one of my crew and i noticed he has mild cirrhosis. Now after several years he has severe cirrhosis. Is it treatable or he is doomed?

Carter has mild dementia - that goes to severe after a while also

Connor is similar. I wonder if those people with degenerating conditions are meant for a get-out-of-here-ASAP playstyle. Then again, even if you want to play a long game and choose only the healthy ones for the first four, there is no guarantee that the acquired random survivors will all be healthy haha.

No you cant heal that. BUT if you give him alcohol to drink , it actually get worst.

I cured Carter, have no idea how. One day by the end of the year he didn´t have dementia anymore, I didn´t have a balloon ... so it wasn´t that.

He did have the sleep parasite ... so maybe it was that.

As for Jack, I did read on discord that he could be cured .... but no one knows how.

Maybe it´s just a certain diet, the ingredients in the new world are pretty much unknown and while we may cook with them, they could contain positive side effects only the devs know.

Perhaps raw mushrooms could cure something .. never tried it, don´t know, if I did it was unintentional. Or any of the other plants .. meat.

After about 1 year + without drinking alkohol in my game Jack was cured from his cirrhosis, he also has immunity to Pneumonia.

I know it’s been a year since you’ve last commented on this, but do you recall on how it was cured? Was it a meal plan? Was it some form of diet or a surgical action changing his liver out?
