Vegetables are unattainable in winter however
and as soon as you can get fridge/ freezer then you have no problem with keeping supple. early game its bit of a struggle but it is possible too survive. so far at 4 year mark with vegan she nearly died at start. just cause forgot to restrict everyone else to eating meat and letting her eat. and crop field was less due to force harvest early.
but i do agree their needs to be a early stage way of storing food to last.
fridges cant change temp on them as far as i can see. and quite mid tier unlock.
also its battle trying to keep animals away. from crops. aless you go on rampage and murder everything around your base. fences dont really stop them from going oh food.
( i am currently playing it on hard with everyone starting from 0 on stat sheet so maybe different )
Animals eating crops could be fixed fairly easily by letting settlers use gates themselves. Instead you have to manually open and close doors which is rather awkward and pointless micro.
I spent 2 years as a vegan, became healthier, this is also influenced by the Japanese lifestyle of eating only Japanese food & natural foods.
All heatsource has like a 3x3 or bigger heat generation spread.
Make a 1 tile line of roofed floors basically, put a group of heaters under it and a column of crops next to them. Put a day and night sensor to turn on and off maybe to lessen power usage during the day for your other machines?
in this way, Stranded: Alien Dawn recreates the conflict between the many unhealthy meat eaters & the few vegetarians, just as in the real world.
God created human is not evolved, but we can grow, so you can grow so that you can survive, even if you stop wasting time predating.
god i cant imagine how out of breath you must be from typing that much
