Hi, jojobe!

Saddly, you can't do anything with rotten food. And, we certainly should do something about that.

Cooking less will help. Overall, cooked meals have far shorter shelf life than their ingredients.

Would be great if rotten food could be used as fertiliser, esp where the soil quality is not so great?

Are you cooking as much as you can or limiting the cooking on the cooking station to "until you have 2-4" depending on the food item? Just try to cook only as much as your dudes eat per day or two.

You can switch to "Imperial units" from the Options menu. (For some reason, the HUD doesn't update immediately but it will switch to F in a couple of seconds.)

I tried doing that, but it doesn't help when your survivors binge eat as a response to stress. I had three go through everything and then they threw it up and went back to eating. I just need to be able to throw out the bad. Or know when killed meat and road kill are no good!

ok i got it what you need to do is make a little no more then 5 to 10 of a of a type and switch the day you make said food so you can tell your group not to get the bad food till after it has rotted awaythen when it is gone make it over ( rinse an repeat) i pit of a pain but can work around it :)

These games always have food issues. But it's nice to see some response though. One thing I ran into during my miserably failed first run is that when I finally got to refrigeration the UI to change storage isn't very friendly. Maybe as part of creating a clickable option to throw away spoiled food, have a clickable option to move the food. The AI citizens don't follow instruction well.

Th Frig sucks badly so people opt for the freezer and the freezer gets people sick.
