Neither bots or drones are refilling animal feeders
After researching and deploying Delivery Drone, Service Bot and Harvest Bot I unassigned all my survivors from Deliver activity and now my animals are starving because nobody is refilling their feeders. First I thought it's because drone and bots are busy, but I watched them for a while and there were even moments when they just sit on their docking stations, but still not transporting food to the feeders.
I'm running no addonds and it's fresh game after getting DLC.

Survivor's prioritize bringing food to the feeders based on your priority set for Ranching, not for delivery, so even if you removed delivery priorities from them, even your survivors should be filling the feeders.

It doesn't surprise me that delivery drones aren't doing it, because of the Ranching vs. delivery thing. I was curious if service bots would do it though, so it sounds like you have answered that question.

You are correct.

My assumption that it's related to delivery was based on description of manual activity. When I selected survivor who was not assigned to "Delivery" and wanted to order him to bring food, description said "(not assigned activity)".

I just figured out issue is caused by (probably) bugged Camp management area.
I used it for a while to micro manage survivors, but with bots and drone I didn't need it and I deleted it and it seems that's what caused it. If there is no area built, nobody's touching feeders even when they are idle, once I create at least one area, survivors with Ranching are filling them up immediately.

Yep, that "not assigned to activity" message for filling feeders is actually very misleading. When I first was investigating to determine which activity priority does feeders that threw me off.

But yah, survivors prioritized for Ranching, but with no delivery assignment, will fill the feeders. The opposite is not true. The tooltip is just, wrong.

Glad you got it sorted with the area flags. Sounds like the feeder, despite not having the option to assign an area, does inherit from a flag built, but doesn't lose that inheritance when you delete the flag.

My survivors fill feeders just fine with no area assignments, so you probably could also have resolved it just by deleting the feeder and building a new one.

they dont seem to do it by themselves but you can order them bots to put food in feeders, I didn't try with the drones.

Do droids learn from Hope? They don't seemed to be able to do many other than delivering things at the very beginning. When Hope learned how other skills the droids seemed to pick those up. Maybe if Hope has ranching enough times the droid will follow?

I don't think so. Each type of bot/droid just has a specific set of activities they are allowed to do, which doesn't change.

I have finished the scenario multiple times and they have never done anything different at the end, when Hope has most skills unlocked, then what they do early on when she does not.

As of yesterday I made and started using a mod that unlocks "everything" for Hope as a final event for her after she's received all of the unlocks that she can and even with everything unlocked, those droids and bots are still only doing the same activities as always.
