Hope is losing Sentience
I had Hope up to 95% Sentient. Had her finish all available research, and observations. All she can do now is craft and she is down to 91% and dropping. How do I get her to gain?

My experience has been that she'll lose sentience if she does anything other than intellect work for a significant amount of time. Honestly not sure if you'll be able to finish the scenario. I had to kick everyone else off of research to have her hit intellect level 10 and finish the scenario.

Thanks. I'll probably have to restart the scenario. I don't think Hope did much of the researching early in the game, so that may be the key.

I'm worried about this on my current playthrough, because I did "Random Survivors" and one of the survivors I got was Krista. I can't NOT use her for research.

I'm going to take Farming for Hope's other skill that gives sentience, and pray that it is enough to carry her to 100%. But the map is Sobrius, and the xp loss in winter is going to be killer.

Do whatever skill you chose as her multiplier specialization. That skill will also gain her sentience. Also, ensure that she is only allowed to consume +50% buff food, once you can craft it.

Most pick either crafting or farming, as those are easily repeatable. You can't actually make victory impossible by running out of research.

I chose crafting for that reason. You can always set something to craft infinitely, preferably something you can grow the materials for.

Is healing one of her options for a database? Because I can see victory being impossible if you pick that one. Unless you go out of your way to get your survivors injured all the time.

I still have not gotten to where that choice is given, going into the end of year 1 right now. I did get to pick her first trait, and I went with the +50% skill gain rate. Hedging my bets, seeing as that will help her gain sentience no matter what other choices I make.

Lost my game. Stuck at 74% when I finished my research.

She capped her crafting skill while at 95% sentience...
She no longer gains Intellect points for crafting.

I'm now just hoping for Tachyon Sources... :\

Getting to energy crystals and using silica energel plus on Hope sooner rather than later is a real game changer for the scenario.

I was worried on this playthough that I am on because I used Random Survivors and got Krista. But even with Krista doing more than half of my research, Hope is going to hit 100% Sentience by the end of year 2, or at the latest early year 3. She's been on a diet of nothing but Silica Energel plus for quite some time.
