Edit: The game DID mention in his bio that he only has 2~3 years to live (but that should be Sol time, right? Which translates to 16~22 years Sobrius time..)
Did hear somewhere that there is a rare medical Breakthrough in the game where this infection along with cirrhosis of the liver is cured. Sorry, I wish I could remember the source (and its validity!).
Didn't play the game for a while, but I used him a couple of times in the beginning and he didn't die on me like that.
That disqualifies him quite hard, the productivity of my survivors dropped quite a bit after he died and I'm not getting new people anylonger.
Connor was the reason in early access, when only the crash landing scenario was available, to hurry up with getting to the evacuation part if you wanted to save him.
There's literally an achievement for keeping him a live too.
