Secret behind "save scumming"?

I reload the save before the "smoke signal" appears 15 times.

The smoke signal appears, I click it, the following happens every single time:

I scavenge the same CPU core from a site.
2 pneumonias happen at the exact same time.

The expedition itself after 15 tries gives me a shout option which of course is negative. I have 5 survivors and sent them each 3 times.

.....

Take 2:

I fast forwarded a day and did 10 more expeditions with negative results but all side activities always yielded the same results.

Sure, but when you add survivors through the developer cheat menu, it doesn't add them to the game in the same way. For example, they will never be mentioned during the end-of-game summary. Plus some people prefer not to cheat.

Although it's slightly amusing that you can add the same survivor multiple times. "We are Connor. Resistance is futile."

Na ja wenn ich 150 mal ein savegame laden muss bis ich endlich einen survivior mehr habe ist das auch cheaten nur viel aufwendiger.

hatte eigentlich gehofft, die Dev´s würden schon bei diesem Update was an diesem Lotteriespiel verändern? Vielleicht nächstesmal ...
