Come Dev's ... do something about the inventory system!!!!
Jesus, this is a logistics game and your inventory system sucks!!!!

I have two wardrobes designated for apparel ... the damned survivors put two items in one, four items in the other other and then the game starts ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it has no room to store a damned jacket!!! And it throws it on the floor!

Every damned time you ask a survivor who is doing something to handle an issue, they drop, store or just leave an unfinished item THEY NEVER GO BACK AND FINISH! I box and shelves with 10, 20, or more unfinished items stored across them that they NEVER go back and finish ... I have intention let ALL my survivors go idol ... they never go back to the unfinished items ... when those idol survivors make replacement items, they make the new one from scratch when I have 3 of that same item unfinished in a box right next to them!!!!

You can't get them to sort items, you can't change an item from being store somewhere and have them move it to a place where its allowed ...

YOUR INVENTORY SYSTEM IN A LOGISTICS GAME IS PATHETIC! Hire someone that knows how to write an inventory system for games!!!

Obviously you didn't find out so far: Hold the "shift" key whenever giving new orders to your survivors. That way they will finish their task at hand (and correctly stow away whatever they are carrying at the moment) and only after that carry out your new command.

And why can't you let your survivors pick up resources in one shelf in put in another one of your choosing ? In every shelf you can decide what's to be stored there and what not. You can command your survivors manually to do so, should you wish to. And I suspect you did not give "handle" and "delivery" a high enough importance to let them do it themselfes.

I have no idea why your inventory system doesn't work or why you end up with so many unfinished items. The system is very flexible and adjustable.
No insult intended but maybe you're doing something wrong ? Trying to understand your problem with it.

I haven't experienced any of that in 100 hours of gameplay over the past couple of weeks. If it's not user error then maybe your game is bugged. Make sure that your Activities are setup properly and you shouldn't have these issues.

Normaly i dont say this but before insulting the devs you maybe should learn to play.

Brother, there is nothing in your statement that is not known by be ... wanna know where a lot of the unfinished items come from? Is when you draft them while they are crafting ... and know when I draft them because of a bug attack, I do not want them to finish become they go where I'm directing them.

I have a chest right now, the damned game won't let me empty it or destory it because it have apparel in it and the game thiinks there no storage space .... RIGHT NEXT TO THAT CHEST VERY I HAVE TO WARDROBE SET TO APPAREL ONLY, AND THEY ARE BOTH 100 EMPTY!

THE SYSTEM IS BORKED!

Sorry I am unable to help since I have not encountered wardrobes not working properly nor unfinished apparel not being picked up to continue the job (after being drafted).
I have only encountered (and just encountered it again) unfinished material (e.g. scrap being smelted into alloy or concrete halfway baking) that the idiots refuse to utilize to completion.
Best I can suggest is avoid mods. I am sure you know that "transport" task is needed to store/haul stuff. I usually turn that off for the humans and leave that task for bots/drones.

As for your wardrobe problem, perhaps this is the issue as mentioned to you there too ?

If you don't want unfinished items, you may want to get two crafting stations, and set one of the crafting order at X and the other at X-1.

-> eg. you want 4 leather helmets, get one tailoring bench at x4 or "until 4", and the other one at x3 or "until 3". No more unfinished items unless I made a mistake by changing those rules.
