I bring 200 scrap per trip if scrap triggers as the found resource (hate the randomnes). Like you know your camp needs scrap, you arive on a place of fallen space debris, BUT you bring home a pike... Dumb droid. Its so stupid.
When you get finaly lucky, you bring it home, convert to steel, do repairs and auddenly you dont have enough even for one extra turret, not to mention a robot.
Yes, thats a good option. I am just not into mods, it kinda feels like cheating. Same as people picking perfect seeds - whats the point of playing then, when you keep adjusting the game for an easy playthrough. Would prefer a native / vanila option, but since there is not any. Its either the mods or painfull grind. Gonna take the grind for now 😁. What can I say, i dont like cheating, even if its improving a dumb game logic. Will keep this mod in mind though. Thank you.
But i have taken a more lenient stance on mods recently.
This mod especially is helpful for the late game when you aren't really playing for the scenario goal asap but want a lasting settlement for many years.
Edit: and also the plants mod i linked you in another post for instance, or similar ones.
They don't make you Uber, they just decorate the game.
Agreed, will propably turn to it if the game becomes completely unmanageable simply because of dumb RNG triggerring boots everywhere. 😆
OK, back to this, yes, at max difficulty, scrap is crucial. I know Flin uses the mod to get 6K scrap, haha. If the OP has Ken, scrap shouldn't be a problem after early game - as you said yourself, Ken brings 200 scrap back from expeditions. It's just the early game that things are shaky. If the map has enough nearby wrecks, that should be ok.
Issue is that I am getting all kinds of junk instead of scrap. At minimum salvage should allways return scrap not, junk. So even after salvaging several wrecks, I am barelz getting any scrap.
1) Military scenario with the Material Fabricator.
2) Trade Outpost scenario and you can buy metal from colony ships and later material fab technology.
nope, thats another situation. its about the stranded scenario. No social/military assistance possible :-D
That is not how i got 6k scrap hahaha.
To make it worse i had over 10k scrap at some point. Once i have a good amount of harvester bots i remove mining and scavenging from the survivors and the bots will do those things.
I just check the map for any and all debris and set them to scavenge. The droids will get to it when their queue lets them.
