One thing you might check is whether or not the beds have enough power to function? I believe they use 20-30 power each, so if the turrets are blazing and the batteries run out of power, they may stop using the beds if the power cuts out.
When one is injured bad and close to the surgical bed they will go to it if not occupied. If they are far away then I have to direct them there.
Not really sure how to prioritize the surgical bed for injuries. Not sure if having assigned beds to sleep on can affect it or not.
Same setup and scenario, but the issue has applied in every scenario. Every survivor + Hope have their own regular and med beds assigned. Anytime they're injured same result no matter where they are. They'll literally walk past my infirmary building to go to their regular beds. It's driving me absolutely nuts.
Yeah we can do that and sometimes I have to. The problem is that it shouldn't be that way. They should prioritize a medical bed if one is available. I wonder if you could just have medical beds assigned to them as a work around and no other bed assigned to them. Would they sleep on it if they had no other bed?
If the medical bed is the only place where those kits are then they have no other option than to go to a medical bed i reckon.
So perhaps the use is determined by the supply of med kits ( if the injury requires a kit and not antibiotics, making sure you have no surplus stored somewhere else might be needed ?
The biggest problem I have with this is when someone has fainted and is bleeding.
Then you cannot tell them to go to the medical bed. One time out of 10's I some how got a drafted survivor to put someone that was fainted into a medical bed but I've never since been able to get them to do that.
This has got to be the worst bug of the many I've seen in the game really.
There are tons of them though the game is overall fun in spite of the many obvious QoL oversights by the developers.
If you have more than 50 medkits, then you will have spare medkits that can be used. Also, the medkits can be removed from the surgical bed. Just mark the storage of the beds as needing to be kept empty and they should be removed by your survivors or robots. You can also limit the number of slots used to 1, so that only 25 are stored there, leaving surplus medkits out on shelves or whatever other storage you are using.
