How do I level crafting with Hope?

I unlocked thr crafting skill for Hope but it is at level 0. All my recipes require lvl 1 or higher. Is there a level 0 recipe I can unlock? How can she get to level 1?

Many clothes can be crafted at skill 0. Craft a hat then dismantle it, repeat as necessary.

Don't confuse the "required skill level" with the "no failure at" skill level. There's a ton of recipes that can be crafted at level 0, they just might fail.

On a similar note, I had Hope lay a lot of carpets before she was skilled enough to build brick walls!
