Auto Equip when broken.
So do the survivors auto equip or are they suppose too or will they add that at some point or do you need to micro manage everyone?

Yes. If there are supplies available then they will grab new clothing and tools when theirs run out.

Will they grab a new weapon? Same type i hope.

That one I'm not sure about. I've had better weapons I've manually swapped them to before the old ones ran out.

Would be good for someone to test though.

They will grab the same exact equipment that broke, if available.

Unfortunately, they won't grab anything / different tier so you'll have to micro-manage if none available, that's why I like to keep my limits at 1 or 2 just in case.

Example ... if I have 1 synthetic chest armor while my survivor is using a carbon chest armor. If it breaks they won't automatically equip synthetic chest armor and will instead look for carbon chest armor if available, if not they will just have an empty slot.

Also you want to micromanage your weapons because breaking them down will return all the parts so you can build a new one.

Remember, you can click their inventory tab, click on their weapon and select a new one and they will go and find it and equip it. Makes it quite easy to manage.

They do seem very unwilling to actually go and equip. Iv had broken spears with spears in storage and iv looked back after planning something to build or looking for stone to que up only to find they havent grabbed a replacement and their ranged weapon is also about to break.

I posted a mod request, but if anyone knows of a mod with unlimited durability?
