I still can't put a roof over the stair!
how can I built a two story building if the roof doesn't seal? It was a nice upgrade, but incomplete. Use a ladder instead? C'mon!!

I had trouble with this last night, and there's an easy method to sort it out, but it's pretty stupid. You have to lay out the 1st floor blueprints first, completely covering the base with the ceiling (floor) tiles, then add the ceiling (roof) tiles, *then* put the stairs in last.

Honestly I have no idea why they didn't figure this out before launch, because from a base/house-building perspective it's dumb as ♥♥♥♥ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ah! - will try this tonight @voidflakes... thank you.

I built my stairs against a wall... and thought that was why I couldn't put a roof... so deleted it... and oh man, spent the next 30 minutes trying to rebuild my floor, walls, roof.... lord... It got so bad and I took so long... my drink got warm.

No worries bud! Yeah I spent ages faffing around with it, did the same as you putting the stairs next to a wall, deleting this and that, trying to swivel the stairs in different directions and place them in different spots, kept getting gaps.. Even more frustrating is that there seems to be no height limit on the the stairs' collision detection, so you could put stairs from the ground to 1st floors, and you'll still have a gap on the 5th floor roof!!

In the end I figured screw it, I'll plan out the rooms and figure it out later.. set it all up, whacked the stairs down intending to be a placeholder, and wouldn't you know it - it worked Lol
