Effective Survivor Team Combinations
Hey everyone,

I've been experimenting with different survivor team setups in "Stranded: Alien Dawn" and wanted to share some combinations that I've found effective. Feel free to try these out and share your results!

The Resourceful Crew:
  • Ken: Great for scrap collection and essential combat skills.
  • Quin: Speedy exploration and proficient in early-game construction.
  • Laara: The farming expert with quick movement for efficient food production.
  • Simon: Offers a balanced skill set for a well-rounded team approach.

The Efficient Operators:
  • Rita: Provides a permanent happiness bonus and has a knack for discoveries.
  • Vivien: Tailoring bonus is a lifesaver for managing clothing durability.
  • Ken: A repeat choice for his invaluable scrap collection and combat prowess.
  • Laara: Ensures a steady food supply with her farming skills.

The Survival Experts:
  • Quin: His construction speed is key for setting up a base quickly.
  • Laara: Reliable for maintaining a consistent food supply through farming.
  • Rita: Boosts team morale and can find unique items during exploration.
  • Simon: Balances the team with his versatile skill set.

The Pioneers:
  • Ken: For gathering resources and defending the team.
  • Vivien: Keeps the team's gear in top shape with her tailoring skills.
  • Rita: Enhances team happiness and has a chance to find rare items.
  • Quin: His quick building skills help establish your base fast.

Remember, these are just starting points, and it's crucial to adapt your team as the game progresses. Different challenges may require different skills or traits, so stay flexible and adjust your team as needed.

What team combinations have you found effective? Share your experiences and let's discuss the best strategies for survival!

I usually go with my custom made now since the vanilla survivors are kinda boring and imbalanced (some you wonder how they even got onto a ship lol).

Anyway, Viviens tailor bonus is insane and almost a must unless you mod so clothes don't disintegrate so fast. The double exploration speed (Quin?) is quite OP since the timer increases and with some rng help you can farm stuff, find tech, save alot of time.

Farming skills is decent but somewhat of a trap since they don't increase the yield or growth speed etc. If you do long games you might want a good crafter since the cool stuff have high reqs and you don't want to lose resources (sniper 2.0 is min 8 and 10 for no fail iirc).

Connor is underrated. Double shooting speed is insane and depending on how you play his downsides aren't that bad. Luck out and find a sniper for him and watch things die :)

Just wanted to comment on this. The default survivors were all passengers on the ship that crashed, so that's why there is such a weird and unlikely mix of people. There was only the crash landing scenario in the start.

Some of them are less likely to be 'the chosen' for the later scenarios, indeed! :lunar2019grinningpig:

My go to team is:
Ken: Double Scrap is huge. He also loves crafting. I start off having him mine stone till he has 7 physical then salvaging, expeditions and crafting.
Krista: Excellent researcher. Can do most other task reasonable well which helps early. But the researching is the main benefit.
Laura: Good at everything and moves fast.
Sora: Great at fighting, doesn't get cold or hot, I usually get her to be my builder and fighter. Since she is a vegetarian, you do have to make sure you store up enough veg for her to over winter, but I don't find it difficult.

That makes it clearer :)

I sounded a bit whiny when I read it now but have no complaints since it's so easy to mod - added much replayability - Incase someone new is reading!

From only the part I quoted it might perhaps have appeared whiny, I see now, but I didn't think that at all when I first read your post, so sorry if I put you in a bad light! That was certainly not the intention. Was only meant as general information :lunar2019smilingpig:
