Electricity
I did all the research and constructed the refrigerator, freezer, advanced research table, electric stove, and lights. I also placed my batteries and diesel generator right next to my building. The electric poles are three squares away from my building.

Even with the diesel generator running, and the batteries fully charged, I am not able to get electricity to any of the lights or appliances within my building. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a specific range that the appliance or light fixture must be within in order to get power?

I see the lines going from the electric pole to the batteries, diesel generator, solar panels, and wind generators, and everything outside of the building is getting power. I just have no power for anything inside my building and I don't know why.

If someone could tell me what I am doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Also it won't work if you have unfinished walls, often even if the walls are just interior. The former is by design; the latter is a bug as it does sometimes work. Just finish all your walls, if so.

Thanks. The structure was finished, but apparently the electric poles were too far away. I moved them adjacent to the building, as you suggested, and it showed a connection.

Thank you for your help.

A completely enclosed building only needs 1 connected electricity pole next to it in order to power the entire building. Check the pole that is next to the building by clicking on it then click producers and see if it's connected to the power source.
