2-story buildings is not something that's in the plans for Stranded: Alien Dawn
Are you interested in missing actions as it happens on another floor?
Or maybe you really like constant switching floors to check what is going on?
Check other colony sim games that have this feature. Like Going Medieval. This is curse - not a blessing. It can ruin fun even for the best titles, like Dwarf Fortress.
Even now building interface is far from user friendly. Building roof for additional sections or blocks on different floor highs - is a pain, and sometimes require total removing of what already has been build and starting from scratch. Imagine what it will be with multiple floors?
I am completely agree with developers in this. Multistage buildings will kill joy from a game.
I love the multistage feature in Going Medieval, in Dwarf Fortress, in Stonehearth and Timber&Stone. But I see your point and I agree that it may cause confusion and the interface is not as smooth as single-stage games.
Do you have in mind to add human raiders?
That would be awesome. +1
Not that I'm aware of, but the devs have been notified that it's been brought up by the community.
I don't need another "Us vs them" shooting. Plenty of those out there to satisfy your personal rivalry feelings.
For the other scenarios, however, it makes a lot more sense.
Anyway... That's just my humble point of view.
