Turbo Speed

So, many of you probably already know that if you enable the cheat console there's a "Turbo Speed" button that is faster than the fastest game speed. The downside being you have to hold it down.

Using cheats disables achievements, BUT, I just tested in my game, by using turbo-speed while loading the trading pod where the return goods were to include the Deed to the planet (i.e. Victory condition).
Which is also an achievement, that I did not have yet unlocked.

Long story short. The Turbo speed function does NOT disable achievements. I thought some of you might want to know, it's safe to use.

No, I had one playthrough where I was going to get it (I think) as soon as I saw another broodmother that wasn't half a map away. I had the tools all ready. But then I won the scenario before the broodmother ever was convenient.

Soon, broodmother, soon.

Heck, I haven't even rescued Connor yet. Though at least now I know what the game actually means by "rescue Connor". I'm going to go for that the next time I play the crash scenario. I just finished my first Trade scenario and have begun my first run at the military scenario, so it will be a bit before Connor gets my attention again.

What, you found it more "convenient" to end the scenario? You could rue that day, my friend. When you have all the achievements but Bug Whisperer, remember how easily you could have nicked that one. And you didn't. Tragic.

LOL, yah, well...see...I forgot about it, until I was on to the next playthrough, and I didn't keep any saves from it around after completing it. Trust me, I learned my lesson. Today when I finished the Trade scenario, I hung around on the map to get 4 more achievements that I was close to getting.

That's actually what prompted this thread. I had the materials on hand and the research done to get the achievements for crafting a full set of synthetic armor, leather armour, and carbon armour. And I tested whether Turbo speed invalidated achievements specifically because I wanted to turbo speed through the crafting process.
