Sort of the way Rimworld lets you build roads for your base.
So I guess its not implemented yet..
In one of my trading scenario maps I made some stone paths between the work building and the residential buildings, and it looks like they rarely walk in the dirt and even take a little of a detour to stay on the "road".
Floors that don't belong to a room don't seem to give the cave dweller penalty, but floor outside under a roof does; so you have to cover it which is kinda stupid/ugly.
(that said I really do find it ridiculous that a survivor would complain about cave dwelling while they're working on the building, or even the carpet in particular — I'm sure that could be tuned a bit)

You can place platforms to make paths too and have them lined with small fences.
Hey Vlad-M! You can build floors, as you mentioned, and you could potentially use said floors as pseudo-roads. But there's no road building or terraforming in Stranded: Alien Dawn, and we don't have plans for this at the moment.
That is quite unfortunate. IMHO there needs to be a way to speed up survivors, so that they aren't so constrained by distance. The map is huge, but you can't get very far in a reasonable amount of time. The alternatives would be ATVs or other kind of vehicles, but having some roads sounds like a natural thing to have.
