Can you find survivors on trade scenario?

Never found any so far. But I had an expedition at some armory site. Where your dude heard something and you get the option to jump out of the bushes or sneak and take a peek. I selected the jump out option and apparently it was a survivor that got scared and ran away. Knowing this game, if I did pick the other option it would probably been something horrible that ate my dude -)

You saved a life, congratulations ! Or perhaps you scared him in the direction of a shrieker nest and he is dead now. :-/

But seriously, you wont find a survivor that way in the trade scenario. Your only way is the trade pod to send an opening for your camp out for anyone to apply.

Trade scenario means you came to the planet on your own, not crashed, so no survivors on the planet. Trading pod is all you can do.

Well, just because you come there to settle a trade station (whatever) wouldn't necessary keep someone else from crash on the planet. So come across some survivor wouldn't be to far fetched.

Haven't had much success in the way of post job offerings. People respond, just.. lets say they at the bottom of the barrel...

Tbf, finding people in a trade scenario negates the intent of it. You make a buck to hire people and pay them for their labor.

One shouldn't necessary exclude the other... You could find a survivor then in exchange for help them they need to "pay off some debt" to you -) free labor..

You can get lots of different survivors through hiring, though the devs understand some of them are more valuable than others and they ask for commensurate payment. Of course, you might get an applicant who doesn't even ask to be paid but may come with...consequences.
