Infected Implant! Connor is died :(

I've tried to do everything to save his life, but every time Connor goes to sleep, he dies.

Connor has an implant in his eye that over time has become infected. I have enough medicine, people were taking care of him, but nothing helped.

Is there a way to remove the infection?

Connor doesn't deserve to die, his is a family man, he got married recently, he has a dog, he's a great researcher, a good person! ~drama~

There's an achievement for getting him off the planet in the Crash Landed scenario before he dies, probably the only way to save him.

Forget about him. He's been replaced by mechs, which are not that hard to get, require no maintenance, very easy to repair and any survivor who can use one becomes a killing machine better than Big Bob ever was, or Connor. Let him go to that eternal prison where he can torment Harold and Kumar forever. That means don't pick him.

Our! I There really is an achievement to save Connor. I'll have to create coffee so he doesn't sleep until a rescue capsule comes along. I declined a rescue capsule 10 days before his death. If I'd known this sooner I would have saved Connor by now.
