My take though :Prisoners should entertain the guards inside a thunderdome. +18 morale.
+18 morale for whom? :D
Could be a really fun scenario.
Crew is paid as a unit for each prisoner. Payment depends on quality of prisoner, (difficulty scale), quality of prison, (Blackouts, breaches, escapes), and prisoner term. Accumulation of sufficient credits can purchase rare researches or material.
Actually could be a winning condition, starting group of 6, once you have held all the prisoners for the duration of their penalty they ship of, maybe dropping in every 10 day or so giving you 10 days to prepare for the each new prisoner...
Sure, not bad! I am wondering if a mod can be made for this.
I like the idea of defending from both inside and outside.
So what happens if they are not kept comfortable? Do they riot? They try to escape? Cause to me just playing nurse for a few convicts does not sound very interesting.
It depends on the prisoner.
e.g. You have a political prisoner who is the third cousin of the Emperor. (Or whatever). The reward would be substantial if their prison term were successfully completed in comfort. On the other hand, if you also had a violent prisoner who wants nothing more to do than murder royalty, both conditions could be quite challenging to accomplish.
And sure, they can riot, escape, or just cause mayhem. It would depend on the quality of the 'guests'. Trying to keep a handle on the prisoners while keeping the place free of bugs is the big picture.
