Having said that, the withering of energy crystals over winter was supposed to be a problem they patched in the April 5 update immediately after their introduction. Their temperature tolerance is now set to 22 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit). So now growing should be interrupted during winter (and fall and spring while the temp is at 32 or below -- so now that growing period is 30 or 40 days instead of 24), but the crop should not be destroyed.
Is it possible your game did not get the April 5 update?
Curious what he got banned for. He made a lot of posts blaming the game for his own mistakes and lashing out and people who tried to explain it to him lol.
