SO i wonder is recruitment similar to crush scenario?

There is no recruitment. You have a maximum of 6 crew.

Yep all rescue missions automatically fail and there are no walkins. You will need to use mods to increase your survivors in this mode.

If random start does not give u people with discovery skill, how to get crystal for battery creation. this scenario is so strange.

Iirc you get the crystal plant available when you do a certain research if it was not available from the start.

battery crafting research will unlock, problably should be very high on your list of research to do as they grow slowly, so need them going fast for a Y1 harvest.
