EDIT (14 Oct, 2022): Changed the title to make things clearer, since a bunch of threads were merged.

EDIT (5 Jan, 2023): Just noticed something interesting - all the awards this thread got are not displayed anymore. Never seen that before, and didn't even know that could happen. Guess it's another form of censorship, to try and mask support. Shunting the thread to "Feedback/Suggestions" wasn't enough.

EDIT (23 Mar, 2023): Oh, neat, the awards are back. Thanks to whoever fixed that.

EDIT (26 Mar, 2023): So apparently the awards didn't get "fixed", they're just new ones. Still wondering wtf happened to the original.

EDIT: (26 Apr, 2023): We've been moved back to General Discussions; thank you Harbinger. This also elucidates the mystery of the disappearing awards - it would appear that they get wiped when a thread gets moved to a different forum.

Steam isn't inherently DRM; developers/publishers decide if they want to use Steam's DRM or not. Contrary to popular belief, there are DRM-free games on Steam.

I mean, sure, I'd be even happier with no DRM, but considering how much Frontier loves Denuvo, I'd be happy enough with just Steam as DRM.

I too hate DRM and I hope they dont do it, BUT I really hope they dont do the online only play stuff. I hate that much more. That ruins games for me, and alot of people judging by topics made on those games. Game looks good from the SS. Good luck devs.

The publisher Frontier Foundry is known to put Denuvo on all their games.

Kinda goofy putting anticheat in a single player game unless you plan on adding microtransactions. Pretty good indicator to avoid the game entirely.

Denuvo - for when you absolutely need to screw your legit playerbase more than the people who will be pirating the game in a week.

Shame, just noticed it had denuvo. Immediately brought it from a highly intersting title to something i wont touch with a stick. Disgusting behavior to punish your paying customers in this fashion.

That DRM stuff is bad enough in finished products. But in an early access game, especially in a single player one, it is next to insane.
A compelling reason not to buy this, especially at the - for ER - rather steep price.
